Carlos A. Ortiz holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He is a licensed Professional Civil Engineer in California and Arizona, a licensed Traffic Engineer in California and a certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer. Mr. Ortiz has extensive experience spanning over 25 years of leading-edge work in intelligent transportation systems and traffic engineering in the West.
Mr. Ortiz has been an active member of ITE for over 20 years, holding numerous board positions, including president of both the Southern California and Riverside-San Bernardino Sections. He is the past president of the Orange County Traffic Engineers Council (OCTEC) and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Younger Member Forum Orange County. He is also an active member of the ASCE, OCTEC, American Public Works Association (APWA) and the Intelligent Transportation Society of California (ITS CA).
